We got married at Hotel Ocho last October and it was fantastic. Everything went off without a hitch and we both felt so relieved to have an enjoyable wedding. Our anxiety was palpable at times, but both Rish and Emily managed everything perfectly. The rest of the staff was equally up to the task and helped keep things going into the night.The food was great and fairly priced. The steak in a black peppercorn sauce was a real standout. The venue itself gave our roughly 95 guests ample room to eat, drink, and dance. Again, the staff is absolutely fantastic and really helped make the experience. Great place for weddings!

Stayed for a few nights the staff was excellent and accommodating. The fan was a bit loud when the heat came on in the room. Everything worked properly and was clean. Very good location near queen and spadina. Excellent if you are going to walk around downtown Toronto. Restaurant downstairs was good, the food was well prepared and cooked properly.

Had our wedding and reception at Hotel Ocho this past October. Fell in love with the modern, clean, open space and really liked having two floors as a way to separate ceremony from dinner from party. Rish was friendly, personable and always helpful when it came to planning and answering all of our questions. Emily jumped in closer to the actual wedding date but did a fantastic job of pulling everything together and helping to coordinate the staff on the day off.Our guests had a fantastic time and complimented the modern look and feel. Service was exceptional! Location allowed for great outdoor photos.

My husband and I had our wedding at Hotel Ocho this past October and were blown away with the service. Before booking, we had of course gone to see the venue. We loved the industrial vibe and knew it was the right size for our event. What we didn't know is how amazingly we would be taken care of during the entire process- start to finish. Rish, Emily and team went over and above to answer every question and make sure we had everything taken care of. Their attention to detail and precision in planning gave us the confidence we needed to be able to really relax and enjoy our big day. The wedding was gorgeous, the meal and bar service was fast and efficient and the food was honestly so delicious. Guests are still commenting on how amazing the meal was! I'd 100% recommend Hotel Ocho for any of your event needs.

The staff was amazing ! We were early, but they got us in a room anyway. The room was huge, and very clean. It was just a little odd. There were only two lamps, so it got pretty dark and there wasn’t a door to the bathroom. But it’s a great location and, again, the staff are awesome.

Visited this place during this summerliscious.Great service, Clean and cozy place.Foods were really tasty and well balanced, Clean and perfectly cooked, Not irritating , also has clean points of taste, Thoughtfully and beautifully plated, Surprisingly reasonable price... I enjoyed from the beginning to the end.The best I tried during 2019 summerliscious, And I m definitely visiting again.Hidden jewel of this area with the best chef in town!

A surprising and lovely find. Our room was well appointed and spotless. Despite what one review wrote the bathroom door is a pocket sliding door and is NOT an open concept bathroom. Despite being on a major street noise levels were reasonable. Note there is no microwave or mini fridge so really it's best for a 1 night stay

WEDDING VENUE REVIEWFrom our first visit to see the venue,a year in advance, to the early hours of the morning after our Wedding day, the staff at Hotel Ocho went above and beyond making our special day one we will never ever forget!. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for that perfect rustic, create your own wedding vision, and the staff will guide you right along and help you make your vision come true! Rish and Richard throughout our planning process, made everything so easy, and were so helpful and efficient in answering any of our questions. Hotel Ocho is such a beautiful venue and I am forever grateful for their hospitality, professionalism and for the memories they helped create.

If you are a Chinese Foodie than this is the place for you to fo and stay..beautiful room but no fridge or microwave..but still worth it

The bathroom door couldn’t fully close which was fine while I was staying alone but if I was not, it would be awkward. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean and nice. The walls between bathrooms are awkwardly thin, could hear the person next to me as if that bathroom was a part of this unit.

There is a smell in my room which reminds me of a funeral home. I mentioned it to the older guy at the front desk and he laughed at me and assured me noone had died in there recently..... As if things could not get worse, there was a party or wedding or something which kept me awake till almost 1 o'clock in the morning. When I got up to check the "continental breakfast", it consisted of cereal, milk, coffee and what I can only assume was orange juice (looked more like egg nog). That is not worth 5$ in my opinion. All the warning signs were there, but I still decided to eat a snack the next day. The "sliders" were more like garlic and ground meat slapped together and cooked. Although they were tasty, they were way too heavy on the garlic. I ended up being sick the next day, which I attribute to the sliders or some combination of what I ate and drank at the hotel. My martini glass was dirty, the ketchup bottle had ketchup all over the side, the list goes on. To make matters worse, I had to go up to the bar and ask for a glass of water, then I had to go up to order my beverage, again to order my food, and lastly to pay my bill even though they have handheld machines. By the way, I was the only person in the restaurant... The lack of service and quality at this place is astonishing. I am surprised they are still in business. I will not be returning.

Hotel Ocho is a good place to go for a quiet, comfy chat with friends. While a very modern space, it also has very comfortable seating. The staff is very friendly and are knowledgeable. When we asked if we could see the event and hotel space, they were willing to show us. ....no problem. Rooms look nice and clean, with nice bathrooms and all amenities. The event space us also very nice. Two levels upstairs for a meal and drinks, and downstairs there is a bigger space. Lots of windows completes the modern industrial look.

Hosted our office party at the Hotel Ocho and it was fantastic. The staff were very accommodating and a real pleasure to work with. The space was the perfect size for our party (70+) and the atmosphere was ideal. The food was amazing, and they helped make sure that there was more than enough for our guests. Also appreciated that they made sure that there were options available for some of our guests with dietary restrictions.

Friendly staff and hipster look, great location. Unfortunately the heating is loud (I woke up multiple times a night) and the sandwich I had was meh. I would stay again, just know what is important to you.b

Attended a wedding at Hotel Ocho recently. The food, atmosphere and staff were great. The only down side is the venue is a bit narrow so the room had some congestion challenges. Overall a great spot for an event.

I come here with friends to drink at the bar of this boutique hotel. The atmosphere is great. It's a quiet, cozy, comfortable place to drink and chat with friends.

Beautiful quaint hotel with a modern twist. Exquisite food, nicely stocked bar, comfortable beds and large (open concept) rooms with comfortable beds. Definitely recommend.

It's located on a main drag in Toronto. You're definately surrounded by the hustle and bustle but, the rooms are very quiet. They're located near food(especially because of being in Chinatown) entertainment, public transportation and a bike rental station. The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant The bathroom is amazing. The main rooms are simple in decor but, impressive. The bed was amazing. Big windows with lots of natural light.

Loud as f*** AC that starts itself when turned off (Service program?!). The front door is locked at night and key didn't work on front door. We were informed on check-in that key would work. Found a side door that worked due to luck. Reception said 'ops' when we questioned the front door the next day. Throughout the night you heard constant flushing. Sound level is unacceptable. When I needed to leave in the morning the elevator did not work as it was locked by an employee... Breakfast is a bad bad excuse of a breakfast. Next time I am going back to their competitors on the other side of the steet!

Great location for China town and some great bars and restaurants. Nice to stay in a fun small hotel that has some life to it too. Great to get somewhere for a good price that is not like all generic hotels. Cool design, big industrial style windows. Great shower. Nice cafe bar over 2 levels. Enjoyed it very much.
